1 - 7 May 2019

Sir András Schiff once again gives a wonderful series concerts – all the Beethoven Piano Concertos, both of Mozart’s piano quartets and the oratorio version of Haydn’s great Seven Last Words - in the inimitable setting of Palladio’s Teatro Olimpico, which is still as built by Palladio in 1580. We are based in VICENZA where we stay in a delightful boutique hotel in the city centre. There will be two excursions by coach for private visits to some of the most celebrated and other less well-known villas in the region, most by special arrangement, including La Rotonda and Villas Cornaro, Barbaro and Emo. Also a whole day in VENICE. Veronese, contemporary and colleague of Palladio, is present at one of the villas and in churches in both cities where we explore his work in some depth.

Cost : £2,980 to include return flights (BA Gatwick-Venice), transfers, 6 nights accommodation with breakfast, 4 lunches and one dinner, excursions and good tickets for all concerts. Single supplement for use of double room £280. Accommodation in a suite supplement £190 pp. Deposit £400.
